David Woon Ph.D
Co-Director, Continental-NTU Corporate Lab
David is the Co-Director of the Continental-NTU Corporate Lab which is a joint lab with Nanyang Technological University (NTU) focusing on developing technologies for future urban mobility applications. He also took on the role of Director (Academic Liaison) in Continental Automotive Singapore from 1 Nov 2018 to manage innovation activities with universities, research institutes and startups. Before that, he was with Airbus Singapore for 12 years, managing research projects aimed at adapting state-of-the-art technologies for increasing operational efficiency of aircraft maintenance. David started his career in 2004 as a Senior Officer at Singapore's Agency for Science, Technology & Research (A*STAR), looking after the development of R&D strategies and partnerships for research institutes under the Science and Engineering Research Council (SERC) as well as managing research grants. He obtained a Diploma in Electronics, Computer and Communication Engineering from Singapore Polytechnic in 1994. In 2000, he graduated from NTU with a Bachelor's Degree in Applied Science with Honours (First Class). He also has a Diploma in Freelance Journalism and his portfolio can be found at www.davidwoon.com.
